Cut a piece of nylon mesh the desired length of your necklace, plus a couple inches of extra.
Using the silk beading thread, sew beads randomly to the mesh, either loosely or in a circle compressing the mesh.
Add a pendant if you like; you can make a bail from strung beads as shown in the first photo, or use a pre-made bail. If you use a pre-made bail, make sure to thread it onto the mesh when you're at the halfway point, before finishing the rest of your beading.
Trim the ends of your necklace and add a dab of hot glue to secure them. Then attach a leather crimp or necklace end, and your clasp.
